A few years ago, when my son was still quite young, I took him fishing to Corn Hill. Easy access, lotsa parking. Well we drove onto the sand, passed another fishing party and set up soaking worms. The other party was "striking the tents" getting ready to go home. When one of them, an older gent, quite frail looking , asked if my son and I would like their eels. I accepted very gratefully. The older gent looked vaguely familiar, but I shook it off. We took our usually skunking and went home. While putting the gear away, the older gent came back to mind. I knew that I'd seen him somewhere before. About a week later I stumbled on a pic of Frank Woolner in an old magazine and I had my answer. The hat , the pipe , and that regal nose. I had my man. He passed soon after that and to this day I regret not sticking my hand out and introducing myself. That experience has brought me here S-B .com and other sites. That experience began my Quest for Knowledge in the Sand.
