I thought Newport used to be a rundown biker town that the Navy pulled out of???
I’ve been here for eight years and it seems like a nice place to me… it has great restaurants, a ton of bars
, shops for the misses (SWE for me), and lots of life.
I never had any problems fishing any of the areas you mentioned. Maybe the access isn’t as good as it used to be, but this is a systemic problem in NE - not just Newport.
