I hate that sinking feeling in my chest every time the phone rings.
2:00 AM the phone ....Ring! Hello........" hay, buddy I hate to wake you up but.............." so here i am still half asleep, trying to trouble shoot a problem over the phone, it could be just about anything, electrical, hydraulic, controls, mechanical, pnumatic, steam, chilled water...........It's amazing how people lose their ability to explain problems over the phone sometimes.So i haul my sorry a** out of bed and head to the plant, take care of the problem , sometimes it's pushing a start or reset button
.....head home and back again at 7:00 AM and do it all over again. 24/7-365, salary,no comp time, and every year i give up vacation time that i dont have time to use. And yes i get called during my vacation too. How the heck did i get myself into this?
