I happenned to bring this up with a noted fishing friendly political operative after a meeting with senator O'Leary this afternoon. My friend tole me that Ma Audobon wants "Wilderness Status" for the refuge. A good question is would that play out like the interior refuges of this country that have been granted "Wilderness" status? These allow hunting and fishing but prohibit other kinds of recreational uses.
