storing sabiki rig

So you just got your fill of herring or macks and are ready to go slay 'em with liveys.....what do you do with your jigging rig??? How many times have you seen a sabiki all twisted sitting in a bucket, needing 5-10 minutes to set up for next time? Well John Pirie, who charters up this way shared a slick solution that's cheap too!

Get a section of 3/4 PVC pipe and cut in half, about 5 foot section. This is your new jigging blank, a little whippy, but it does the trick to about 20 foot depth. Two small hose clamps to hold an old spin reel (we all have em in the corner of the cellar) Drill a hole approx a foot above reel and file diagonally to smooth opening for line as it enters into the PVC. A fender washer at the bottom of the sabiki rig, or above a weight stops the rig inside the PVC for storage. I know there are other rigs on the market, but here's a simple, do it yourself, solution.
