I enjoy company but to seriously fish, without having to worry about catching or if the guy with me knows what he's doing or not, I prefer to fish alone. I fish with Woolner in a way, I have his boat. In four years it will be forty years old and this past weekend over a hundred bass were landed in it. Several in the 20 pound class, one bigger and lots smaller. I think he would be happy that it is still a viable fish catching machine. On the sand I like being alone under the stars and sometimes just look around and take in the scenery. I am at peace there or drifting across the flats at B-Harbor or Monomoy. Of course you are never really alone, the spirits of those gone 'round the bend are still watching. Me and the ghosts of all those who went before, that's who I like to fish with.
