I have 3 convench eel set-ups:
Sabre IGSC 1088 cut back to an 8/64 tip and Calcutta 400.
Loomis SW 108-20 with the same Calcutta.
JK Fisher 8420 cut to 9'7" from the butt, with an Abu 6500 or 7000.
The Fisher is sorta like a graphite 121 3M. More of a big water eel rod. The Sabre and Loomis are really a pleasure to use--light as a feather with tons of backbone.
