the small pencil is great for what you are looking for, and it casts 3 miles. the fatboy pencil is also one of my favorites and will also work well for you. the slider is a hell of a plug ahhhhhhhhh afterhours plugs
if i was to pick one for what you are looking for with the pencils, i would go with the smaller pencil.
