Congratulations Eben! You were in a situation where you had the opportunity to help out a couple of guys and make them more knowledgeable fishermen. Instead, you lied to them, conned them out of their bait, and reaped the benefits. Is that what fishing is to you - a source of paranoid competition?

I bet at some point during your fishing career, someone helped you out. Maybe they took you to a productive spot, maybe they improved your technique. But you idn't learn ALL OF IT on your own. And this, as I see it, was an opportunity for you to give something back. And you blew it.

Your posts consistently indicate a selfish paranoia. If someone posts that they caught a fish "somewhere in the northern hemisphere", you get all bent out of shape about spot-burning. I have news for you - you don't own the ocean, and those guys you conned last night had just as much right to fish there as you - more of a right, in fact, since they got there first. You seem to have some sense of entitlement, you think no one else has the right to fish in "your" productive spots. I just don't understand that. Others have helped me, and I enjoy helping out when I can.

The next time someone screws you, I hope you remember what you did to those guys, and accept that you had it coming.

Signing off for good.
