It has happened to me a few times.....I was genuinely happy for the lucky SOB but naturally quite envious. I took many photos of them with their catch and made them feel good about their moment...because that is what I would want if I was fortunate enough to land a large.
I believe one day I will have my moment...that there is a trophy with my name on it and I would want my fishing buddies to be happy for me....not angry because they did not catch it. Good Karma....goooood Karma!
