Some serious politics going on here. It's widely known that the state department and the CIA are full of political appointees from several administrations; not necessairly loyal to the present one. Someone in the agency has given permission for a 22 year CIA veteran to write and publish a book which is highly critical of the Bush administration.
I agree with a poster above. I think Rove will resign. It's unfortunate, but I think the president jumped the gun on this one.
In the grand scheme of things this isn't much more than a ruffle on the surface of the water.
