Bike would be marginal. Yes, you could cover more territory on the mainland side of the island from Crescent Beach to probably the monument and the Vineyard facing side from before the Cutty Bass Club to Can-o-whoopass but from the Bass Club to the SW point, the area of the bass stands and south, there is no legal access thru the bird sanctuary to get to the water. Acutally running the bike on the beach is not practical...
As far as theivery, I don't think the bike would be touched as there has not been any larceny since GB left the island
