I think I have the same rod in conventional
Mike CC wrapped it for me a few years ago, when Loomis still sold blanks.
My wife uses a Stradic 8000 on her 1088. Feels pretty solid. I "borrowed" her rod a few times
I have an All Star 1088 spinning rod and I use a Penn Slammer 560 on it.
