Even good casting plugs are only gonna go so far. I know some guys who can chuck it who fish the Canal. Guys fish directly across from each other all the time. In all the time I've fished there, I've never seen two guys cross lines across the Canal. In some places the Canal is less than 600' across at dead low. Perhaps u should think about that alittle more.guys opposite each other throwin 300 ft would basically have to meet in mid air to tangle.there's no doubt in my mind 300 ft is bein done with a jig.
