im not surprised.. You know how to fish properly
anyone who knows how to fish right shouldnt be opening up split rings.. if they are, they are ripping alot of bass lips. Thats what your drag is for
Maybe if you hang up on a rock or something...
The only time i have even slightly bent a split ring was when i lifted one of Goosefish's mooses out of the water by grabing the needlefish..
