Glad you escaped a BIG problem..

Question though, why is the bildge seeing so much water due to rain? My floor scuppers drain to the outside, and the boat is pretty well sealed between floor and bildge so even during really hard rain, the bildge sees very little water.

Does your deck drain to the bildge? Is there a problem there?
