You don't even need to do that if you are going to run new gas through it within maybe 3 months. Mine lays up for 6 months due to my winter work schedule so it's needed. For cheap insurance, just add stabile on your last outing to run it through your system. Oh, and be sure to store your motor down so that water will not accumulate in the lower unit and freeze.
