Moose x-sing
Bigfish,
Went sweetwater fishing with my brother-in-law way up in Colebrook, New Hampshire at the first Conneticut Lake and stayed at some fishing camp about ten miles from Canada. A short ways north from the camps access road to Canada there was a sign that said moose crossing. What the sign should have said was "occasional car comes this way", because thier were more moose than cars. Stopped to take pictures one day and the lithium battery went dead on my 35 mm Canon old timey film camera. Used the manual exposure and walked to the front of my f-250 and came within 5 to 8 feet of the moose and took shot. Silly me getting close, but they were all eating the fresh grass on the roads edge. Besides I think the moose was enamored with my f-250. Wouldn't do that again. Older, wiser. One day though coming bacik from twenty miles in the woods fishing for what turned out to be little five inch trout I counted 17 moose along the edge of the road in a one mile stretch eating the spring grass. As an aside I actually saw a guy catch and keep three five in trout. What a shame. Oh ya my one five inch catch and released trout won me the hot rod for the week.
