From what I've been hearing he wasn't a sellout. His agent called our new "GM By Committee"
(THAT Worked REAL well with the Bullpen a couple years back) and said the Yanks made the offer. They thought he was bluffing and tried to call him on it.....guess they were wrong....nitwits.
