I think it takes alot of the feel out of it. But for me the chance to get a monster down deep is well worth losing some of the fight.
on the flip side
I know I get into a bad habit of not checking the jig/bucktail for weeds as often as I do with a mono set up.
Lou, beware of where the backing meets the wire, that knot will slice your thumb like butter if your not paying attention.
