Harry, same rod as Jim's.

AllStar 1209, it can be built conv. but mine is a Breakaway spinner factory job. It will toss a horse, as JP says it's a pool cue with guides. I think they under rate it at something like 3-6 but it should be 4-12 ounces. I get 300-400 feet casts with 4-5 ounce jigs on that spinner. I hope to use conv. more this year if I get used to reeling on the right.

I double checked the drag on my Mitchell Neptune 7500 big yellow reel when I got home and it was set at 10 lbs as I suspected. Even though that fish was thin, it had shoulders and took some line.

The smaller keeper Joey brought in had a sea bass in it


Harry, you'd be pleased with the 1209, alot of guys jig the ditch with it also, some like the Lami 126mh something.
