After many years of inactivity, I did the same. My best experience has been with New Balance. You can get them at a #^&#^&#^&#^&s or Sports Authority. I am running 3-5 miles 3-4 times per week. At that pace, the best running shoes only last 6 months before they need to be replaced. The shoes still looks fine but loses its shock absorbtion ability. Alot of interesting reading in a publication called runners world, purchase it at any magazine shop or supermarket. Many times this magazine does write ups on sneaker comparisons for runners. That is how I stumbled onto new Balance running shoes. Good sneakers will make your feet much happier with the pounding running will cause on you body, but there is no better way to stay in shape and get a great cardiovascular workout.
