It depends...

I tend to sgree with you, When the fish are active they'll hit about anything. I've also seen times when fish will ONLY hit a certain plug, but I also believe that is more the exception than the rule.

I think MOST of the time, what matters, is putting the lure in front of the fish. That's pretty much what make me choose lures. Depending on where I am going I try to pack plugs that will work all levels of the water column. I think that is MUCH more important than color. That being said... I won't go anywhere w/ my yellow& red darter
