I remember reading in a book about the Vietnam War about five years ago that interview a former North Vietnamese general whose last name was Giap. He was quite a formidable person. And respected by his peers on both sides of the war. One thing he said was so simple yet it struck me as forming the basis for his theories on the war as it related to his soldiers and thier survival and the soldiers from the U.S. and the South Vietnamese army he was fighting against. He said, "how did you think you could beat our army when we have been at war for the last 700 years, living in the jungle and eating a handful of rice a day." Thtas not exact so if I misquoted him slightly please be kind, but my point is as it relates to the desert insurgents we are fighting now. The only difference is that they live on a cup of water a day as opposed to what our needs are.
The hate us because for the most part we put ourselves out there to hate. They hate us because they are told we are the devil. They hate us because they live in a closed society that essentialy tells them to not to bother to think freely we the Imans or whatever will do your thinking for you. Why are there so many people at these demonstartions, because thier unemployed. Why are they always in a pissy mood, because theysee that the Brazilians beat them to the illegal imigration punch. Now thiers no frieking room for all the Iraqies here. Imagine both an Iraqi and a Brazilians serving up the java at DD's. They hated us long before we invaded Iraq.......
