We do maybe but they dont have the right to know a god damn thing. Thats coming from someone who has been at odds with the media. I refuse to call the shooting an accident, because it was not (everything happens for a reason). No law has been violated has it?

I think it was an accident, just an extraordinarily stupid one. Anyone with common sense, with gun experience or not, probably knows better then to shoot parallel to the ground, especially in a field where it's tough to see through the brush.
So far I think other then a few permit issues, no law has been violated.
The only issue with Cheney not reporting the incident immediately is the effect of not reporting it immediately. They are reaping what they sow if you ask me. If you're that high profile in the public's eye it's almost always better to get something like this out in the open sooner rather then later.
