i believe it was painted in Mattapoisett but having only just recieved it today via the internet i don't

i think it was painted in the 70's where we lived right on the ocean.
the light house might have been bird's island in buzards bay.
often as i was loading the boston whaler with fishing gear i'd pull up a chair and sit beside her as she painted enjoying the calm silence
and watching her paint as i glassed (with binoculars) for diving terns.
it was the
most fun to scramble out there and kill the engine and then have a "fish on"..... in the first cast.
