From what I understand the real problem with prices this summer is going to be the shortage of ethanol which is being used to replace MTBE that's been done away with.

Appearantly we don't have the capacity to produce enough.

There is a simple short-term solution...

Reduce or eliminate the 50+ cent per gallon tax on ethanol imports created to protect local production.

Think it's gonna happen?

Not a chance...expect another 40 Billion+ in profit from ExxonMobile this year.

Long-term this country need a freakin energy policy that balances the interests of industry and the consumers!
