Back From Hawaii

Hello Guys ,
Got back last week and let me tell you if you have never been try to plan a trip. we stayed on the island of Kauai and it was beautiful. It's a long flight but worth it.
Now the fishing report : I fished both mornings & evenings , the south side of the island is very very rocky and ended up loosing a lot of lures mosting Kast masters and afew swimmers once you touch a rock your line snaps. Needless to say I didn't catch anything but hey I'm in hawaii . I talked with some local bait shops and you have to use small hooks as most of the fish you could catch have small mouths Convict Tang and Bluefin Trevally are always around. Squid is the bait of choice , with 4 or 5 or 6 oz sinkers ,the surge from the waves is very strong . I would also us at least 20lb line , but again the fish are small and have small mouths so I think it's tuff to use heavy gear going after fish that are no more than 12 inches . However I did see afew guys fishing .
So thats about it .
