everyone knows that fishermen are the most intelligent people around. this thing has been in the family for many years after being with another family for over 100 yrs. i think it's bronze with an ornate carved ivory handle. i've posted its pic on some antique sites- and nobody can tell me anything about it- 'cept that it's old
