Guys like that are one of the reasons my dad is my hero. He coached the teams of leftovers. You know, they kids not good enough for the rest of the league or who signed up late. Everybody PLAYED at least half the game and he never had a problem with "superstar" attitudes from the kids or their parents. He was a gifted teacher and while winning was important, it wasn't life or death. It was a GAME, something to do in the summer. My dad figured that kids playing baseball and having fun weren't sitting around trying to figure out ways to pass the summer (and getting into trouble.)
