I have done this over ten times atleast, after a while you figure stuff out hahah. Yeah it bounces right off, it will cut it but you have to lean into pretty hard. The first time I tried it I was stuck on how to get the non rotten part of a transom out, it was wet but not soft, but still had to come out, it took me two days soldm to dig out a litte area, tried everything, then it hit me, a chainsaw cuts front AND top, top it the key has you can slide it in any crevice and this allows you to not cut all the glass out. When I finally tried the chainsaw it took less than ten minutes to finish! it worked so good I used it everything I need to extract rotted wood.
