Yes, tarpon are the world's greatest gamefish, no doubt ... nothing greater than being the only boat around with a steady stream of fish swimming by, rolling on the surface, daisy chaining ... it's an amazing sight

Fished them a lot with flies, soft plastics and bait, but did not have the great wood that is now being produced by the custom manufacturers that are on this site ... I think the big needlefish, spooks, darters and metal lips would all produce well for these fish under certain conditions, especially in the passes at night and beach fronts in the early morning ... down in the Keys you'd want to focus on the cuts and basins where they can be found daisy chaining and passing through on a regular basis, as well as the channels under the bridges.
