Go see Mike cc at M&Ds in Wareham. You can poke the ceiling with Tsunami, Tica or Quarrow rods and see which ones you like. The Tica Dolphin series are very good rods for under $100 and the heavier 9' and 10' models will work for the Canal. But, if you want to spend a little more, those Quarrow rods are worth a good look
