Our dryer (gas) chit the bed las week too. When we bought it 5 years ago I had "Mr Appliance" hook it up for me. I already had the old one out in the driveway and the new one in the basement 3' away from where it goes. Took him 10 minutes and cost me 150 bux.
Worst part is that he told me that appliance makers only make washers and dryers to last 5 years nowadays.
Our dryer runs but has no heat. I don't think they even have pilot lites in them anymore.
