Its funny you say you've seen more on the Sakonnet- I've only seen a few in Narra. Bay. Since they generally feed on small bait it might be a sign that the silversides are absent as this is their main food source in the bay, but I've seen some silversides in the Sakonnet, but only one or two terns.
