Well, more and more veal is now raised in larger pens rather than in the old-style stalls. It's humane enough for the natural food crowd to deem it ethical...
As far as the cow is concerned, this is their natural environment.
Not so for the lobster, free for years to live and reproduce only to be yanked (tricked really) to live out their sentence in an artificial holding tank.
Of course to see the logic you have to get past the idea that a lobster is about as smart as a cricket, and feel that as human you need to extend a little extra courtesy to those mother nature created.
