The shore fishing certainly gets better from Quincy South and Deer Island north. I have not fished it recently but I'm told Deer Island is open again and parking is good - Check this:

and there is often pleny of bait in that area....
I would give it a lookover on a nice day at low tide, give your self a couple hours to check it out (maybe without your rod
) and then go back at night with bait, plugs, or eels....
It looks pretty good. Might need Korkers
