I had a good day Friday fishing with my dad, had fun Sat. on Big Cliff pond trying for some fresh water fish with my son, then my son and I had a great day Monday chasing stripers on the boat again. But Monday night on the very first cast on one of the only outer beaches that you can still drive on, I broke my favorite rod

a pacbay 1207, the rod snapped in 2 between the 2nd and third guide, shattered it

I was attempting to toss a 2-1/4 oz howdy so maybe the blank got knicked or something. There was no fish there anyway

Then unpacking the truck yesterday I broke another rod, a 7' tica I just recently bought
