I use a long piece of thru wire with a loop and a sharpened end. You just gotta feel ure way thru, if it starts to go off to the side, back the needle up and try again.

my next 6 went alot better. I didn't add the zap a gap until i buried the shaft of the top hook into the slugo.
I am using a wire hanger with a filed point on one end.. seems to work ok.
