I use the top of old CB antennas for needles. They are useally made of stainless steel and are a lot stiffer than old coat hangers!! Beat one end flat and drill a pin hole in it, the other end sharpen to a looooong point, the longer the better. I even polished the point and flat end with a buffing wheel. Makes it slide thru very very easy!!!!
