Well, is the motivation for the teaching of hate (and there's a lot of it) driven by a sense of religious duty, or by a sense of authoritarian control?
We've all heard the stories of the anti-semetic and anti-western rhetoric in Saudi Arabian textbooks. Is this to inspire Jihad, or to direct the attention of the flocks away from their own corrupt rulers?
I've read that far more Muslims have died due to terrorisim in the past 30 years than have non-Muslims. This would indicate that the struggle against the infidel is only a part of the problem.
