Mike, this is the question you need to resolve first.
I'm not familiar with the Midlands, but it sounds like you are generrally happy with the hull. If you don't need to step up in size (or think the hull will suit your needs), repowering sounds good. Its not cheap, but it should give you years of hassle free operation and peace of mind (and its still cheaper than a new/good used boat
) . If you get away from digging, and you decide you really want to find something bigger or more suited for fishing, go for it! Thats a decision thats hard for me to offer an opinion on, but I will say do what you will be happy with. Good Luck
