Post spence; stormfish

by leaning towards isolationism...i meant on a very personal level...
as self- sufficient as possible.... personally ....which i do allot now...
as far away from the masses as is logical
no oil tank or oil burner in my home (screw it)
self made power from solar panels..... wood stove for heat.
greenhouse to cover about a 50 foot circle. $37,000.00
it's at the top of my list...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
stormfish... you're right, because if we can build a railroad from East to West then we could dig a tunnel...
from Alaska to say South Dakota
and there is plenty of horizontal boring that can be done then have it turn downwards
to the oil reserves...well beneath the "OH so precious environment"
and stop all the evironmentalist's concerns....

i ran a $ million&1/2 dollar track drill...for a time...and there are huge boring rigs...now,
like in journey to the center of the earth.shiat
if there's a will theres a way!
make it out of carbon nanotube fibers in the form a a huge tube...
....ten times stronger than steel..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
then again
(with many far reaching side benefits)
if the ocean was farmed just right, with the right kind of plant (kelp) or algae.....

you could make all the bio diesel fuel the earth's populations could ever want.
Combine that with methane ,ethanol and solar power there is no need for a fuel shortage....or being taxed for it....
