You want to talk about good old days...
My bro and I grew up in a one-traffic light town, with three gas stations, no major chains, and no crime.
We used to take the boat out every Saturday and Sunday with the old man, grandpa, and our old friend Cookie Ferrioli...spring and fall from Granby to Gloucester for cod, summer to Galilee for blues, stripers, and tuna.
We lived for fishing, family, and fun.
Sadly, in the late 80's, the boat didn't do so well, Mikey didn't really like fishing that much, and we stopped.
Luckilly for me, I landed a job at the Cape in the summer of 1995, and decided to Shanghai my brother into coming with me...I had to break his f'ing wrists just to go out to Nauset for a day to fish...two years later he was hooked...three years later the old man was back on board (literally), and the good old days started again.
Last year the old man bought two lami-van staal combos. Mikey can't get the sand out of his Jeep, and I'm happy again...love getting the band back together...wans't easy though.

Ain't easy beein the fishing cheerleader.
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock 'n roll.
Later,
Rick
