very sorry to hear about your brothers two year old lab....NF
that's a bummer....
i always attributed labs eating disorder to competitiveness at feeding time.... as the most aggressively eating puppy gets the most....so.... they eat fast and furious.
Such was a LAB i had.... and then one day: i put down a can of dog food
and the dog vacumed it down in one second ...THUPE...gone...
so being a curious young man and having an electric can opener and a ton of canned dog food,...i wondered just how much food this dog could eat.... and kept on opening them one after another....until i cleared off several shelves...around 14 cans.
that dog! was
so stuffed it layed out in the backyard for almost two days before it got up again.... but never again did it vacume
it's food down the hatch....and ate slowly, patiently from then on.
