Lost it yesterday afternoon...worst part.....I had the biggest fish of my life on it
after a 8-10min battle with the beast trying its hardest to rub off on the rocks...therefore it must have made a weak spot in my 14# test. After one last near loss to the rocks, i got the beast close to the rocks near my feet..Now stupid (inexperienced me)
tried to slip the fish up on the rocks using my rod...Learned two valuable lessons, here..no 3.... 1. Take slips advice, Make another one before you lose it.
2. Use the 50# flourocarbon leader material that is collecting dust at my house!
3. Never ever ever try to slip another cow up on a rock...should've just grabbed it by the F%^%^%^% GILLS.
The fish was easily over 40" (it looked OLD AND MEAN in its face and eyes) I'm guessing it was 30+ lbs..
Okay, im going to hang myself now...
