Don't try to cut the hook in the surf or on the beach.
Just chop the splitring (much easier than trying to cut the hook) or swivel.
THEN go grab the manleys and chop the hook back at the truck.
Gerber makes a nice little pair of scissors that cut braid and mono very nicely that you can hang around your neck.
