If you are a fan of the marine enviroment there is a interesting show on PBS called Scientific America Frontiers. It is talking about the Alvin and other AUV's. from WHOI . It is neat to see something that's in your own backyard that you have made parts for. I have several friends that work at WHOI and have seen the Alvin in person and looked inside last time it was in for maintenence. They are discussing the making of the new Alvin, as they are going to retire the original. Cool stuff. P.
