I'll be wading mostly from sand or cobble bottom, and worry about sand getting in the wading shoe with stocking feet; also worried about sand getting hung up in the felt soles (I'll go boots and bibs on the rocks anyways). The easy on/off aspect of boot-feet is also a plus
