Yes thats right they did not want to open on Sundays! Instead of having to pay for operating costs (i.e utilities, wages, etc) to be open on Sundays they increases their profits by filtering all their weekend sales into one day (Saturday) . Also, they effectively forced consumers to overpurchase and stock up on their booze out of fear that they might "run out" of alchohol on Sunday.
Also, while I did travel to NH a few Sundays in college simply to purchase booze (years ago when I was young and stupid) travelling from the Cape to NH is not realistic!
